Pizza Hut Garlic Bread Pizza

I eat more Pizza Hut than is good for me. And I am completely defenseless against garlic bread so when I got an email from Pizza Hut yesterday about their new garlic bread pizza, I skipped over as quickly as I could after work and picked one up to try.

9 pieces of garlic bread pizza with your choice of a topping (I chose sausage) cost $8.99 in my neck of the woods.

To be honest, it tasted good but is in essence just pieces of garlic bread ($4?), some cheese on top ($1), and sausage bits ($1). I probably wouldn't pay $8.99 for this again when I can just as easily recreate it for less.

Have you tried this? What are your thoughts?

Costco Bakery Muffins : Vanilla Chocolate

I love Costco. It's everything that ails America but can you really dislike a shopping center that sells everything in bulk to the average household?

I did have a bone to pick with their muffin selection for the longest time - I always wondered why they never sold chocolate chip muffins (they have double chocolate chip muffins - but I prefer vanilla and chocolate chip) so imagine my surprise when I found these at the bakery aisle. (Forgive me if my news appears outdated...my neck of the woods gets everything two months behind schedule).

The vanilla chocolate muffins taste great. My only complaint is that the chocolate chips are sprinkled and not mixed into the batter. So the center is just muffin - see cutaway picture of the interior.

Costco muffins are sold in two packs of sixes so you can mix and match two flavors (which works well because my brother likes blueberry muffins).

And yes, I did re-purchase them. :)

DORITOS® JACKED™ Enchilada Supreme Flavored Tortilla Chips

These are my new favorite Doritos - I like chips that are extra flavorful so the more powder residues that remain on my fingers after a bag, the more likely I'll like the chip. There is no such thing as overpowering cheesy goodness in my book.

These chips are very cheesy - with a powdery black bean taste to it. They are not spicy and not exactly easy to tire of.

Between my Ruffles addiction and these new Doritos, I can't remember the last time I left my local grocery store with a different type of chips.

Munchies : Cheese Fix, Totally Ranch & Jalapeño Cheddar

Munchies is like the Frito-Lay lover‘s version of Chex Mix. I prefer it to Chex Mix because I am a big fan of explosive flavors and pungent seasoning.

Here are three flavors that are currently available for purchase, the Jalapeño Cheddar is, to the best of my knowledge, not currently available in a larger size.
From left to right: Cheese Fix, Totally Ranch & Jalapeno Cheddar
The Munchies classic is the Cheese Fix, it is essentially a bag of Nacho Cheese doritos with some variety in texture. It is my least favorite out of the three flavors pictured here.

I still get it from time to time when I can't decide between a bag of Cheetos and a bag of Nacho Cheese Dorito's.

Up next is the Totally Ranch Munchies. I prefer this to the Cheese Fix because even when it comes to Dorito's I prefer Cool Ranch to Nacho Cheese. Plus, this bag comes with ranch flavored fritos, which isn't even available for purchase.
The truth is that I buy this a lot of the time just so I can eat the ranch Frito's. If that was Frito-Lay's intent, they've succeeded.
Lastly, and in my opinion the best out of three, is the Jalapeño Cheddar. I admit I am biased because I LOVE Jalapeño Cheddar Cheetos so for that alone this bag far exceeds the others.

I feel very "meh" towards the Rold Gold pretzels in all three bags. They taste just like regular pretzels and have none of the flavors advertised. Perhaps they are added as a palate cleanser, I just don't understand.
Which is your favorite out of three?
